Aramid PTFE Packing

SUNPASS KEVLAR PACKING – STYLE 6500 Kevlar Packing Style 6500 is a high-performance aramid fiber braided packing manufactured from DuPont’s continuous-filament Kevlar yarn. The yarn is thoroughly impregnated with PTFE emulsion and treated with a special lubricant to enhance its sealing performance and reduce friction during operation. The packing is braided into a robust square cross-section, ensuring excellent structural stability and long service life. Kevlar is well known for its steel-like strength and exceptionally high modulus, giving this packing outstanding resistance to mechanical wear, extrusion, and deformation. As a result, Kevlar PTFE packing provides significantly higher pressure and media resistance compared to conventional braided packings. It performs reliably under severe operating conditions, including abrasive media, high pressure, and high shaft speed applications. This packing can be used independently as a complete sealing solution or installed as end rings in combination with other types of packings to create a hybrid packing set with enhanced performance characteristics. Its durability and resistance to harsh environments make it suitable for pumps, valves, mixers, and other dynamic equipment across industries such as petrochemical, power generation, mining, pulp and paper, and more.
