1. The hatch cover sealing system is made from an intricate, multi-fiber, woven material composed of durable, high-purity PTFE fibers, which are integrated with a lubricating outer layer. Below this surface layer, the seal incorporates multiple layers of thick PTFE tape. The primary body of the seal is fabricated from a dry, open-weave fabric of polypropylene fibers. At its heart, the seal contains an NBR rubber core, enveloped by numerous layers of PTFE tape.
