EPDM PTFE Gasket is made of teflon for high temperature resistance, high strength. It is made by 100% Virgin PTFE with bonded with EPDM Rubber. This can be available for enough pressure. Gasket has two sealing rings a primary and secondary. Almost universal chemical resistance and non-contaminating for ultra-oure applications, along with the EPDM memory giving a long sealing life.

EPDM-PTFE Gasket Manufacturing Process

1. Preparation of the EPDM Rubber Core:

Select an appropriate EPDM rubber formula and perform mixing and kneading processes to produce a rubber core material with excellent elasticity and chemical resistance.

The EPDM rubber core is molded, either by extrusion or compression molding, to the desired shape and size.

2. Preparation of the PTFE Membrane:

Select an appropriate PTFE resin and perform dispersion and sintering processes to produce a PTFE membrane with excellent chemical resistance and a low coefficient of friction.

PTFE membranes can be formed using various molding methods, such as compression molding and film stretching, to achieve the desired thickness and size.

3. Coating Process:

The EPDM rubber core is placed in the PTFE membrane and coated. This can be achieved through mold coating or hot press coating.

Ensure that the PTFE membrane is tightly bonded to the EPDM rubber core, free of defects such as bubbles and wrinkles.

4. Post-Processing:

The coated gasket undergoes trimming and cutting to meet final dimensional requirements.

Perform surface treatment on the gasket, such as sandblasting and polishing, to improve its surface finish and adhesion.
